About Scientist Patrick
The Scientist Patrick meme features Patrick Star examining Plankton through a sand microscope in SpongeBob SquarePants. Often paired with an image of Patrick nailing a board to his head, the meme contrasts intense focus on trivial tasks with incompetence at simple ones.
The microscope scene comes from the episode “Patrick SmartPants,” which first aired on October 21, 2005. The paired image comes from “My Pretty Seahorse,” an episode that aired on July 12, 2002.
