About PTSD Chihuahua
PTSD Chihuahua is a reaction meme featuring a frightened Chihuahua with Vietnam War imagery overlaid. It is commonly used to represent traumatic memories, unpleasant past experiences, or situations that trigger unwanted flashbacks.
The meme combines a photograph of a frightened Chihuahua with an image taken during the Vietnam War. The original source of the dog photograph is unknown, while the war photograph is also used in other war flashback parody memes. A watermark reading “@doggonews” appears on many versions and is believed to come from a now-deleted social media account. The composite image is frequently edited with additional objects or photographs to match the event or experience described in a caption.
