About SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs Campfire
The SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs Campfire meme, also known as Mr. Krabs Campfire, features Mr. Krabs telling a story to SpongeBob around a campfire. It is commonly used to depict someone passionately explaining an obscure or niche topic to a disinterested listener.
The image comes from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Scaredy Pants,” which aired on October 28, 1999. The earliest known use of the scene as a meme appeared on Reddit’s r/BikiniBottomTwitter on October 3, 2019.
