The Squidward Spare Change meme, also known as Squidward Begging, features a ragged Squidward holding out a mug while begging for money. It is commonly used for desperate requests, shameless pleas, and exaggerated demands.
The image comes from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Can You Spare a Dime?”, in which Squidward is left homeless and begs for spare change. The scene later inspired edits such as Spare Coochie, which replaced the original plea with an ironic sexual request. The earliest known Squidward version was posted on Twitter on June 6, 2018.
