About Sad Keanu
Sad Keanu is a Photoshop meme based on a paparazzi photo of actor Keanu Reeves sitting alone on a park bench and eating a sandwich. It is commonly used to express sadness, loneliness, disappointment, or a lack of enthusiasm.
The original photograph was taken by Splash News photographer Ron Asadorian in May 2010. It shows Reeves sitting on a park bench with a sandwich, looking sullen. The image became the basis for Photoshop edits, with users placing Reeves in different settings or adding captions to express sadness and loneliness. The original photo is also widely used on its own as a reaction image.
