About The Jig
The The Jig meme features an older man enthusiastically dancing at a formal event, wearing a white shirt and tie. It is commonly used as a reaction image to express excitement or energetic movement.
The image first appeared online on October 25, 2005, when LiveJournal user wunder_bar edited the dancing man into a photograph as an entry for a Photoshop contest. After appearing in demotivational posters and other jokes, the image became a popular reaction meme in early 2019.
